We've got a great line-up at the pub over the next week or so. It's going to get mobbed, so get down there early to avoid disappointment.
Some of the live acts we've got playing include Bonde Do Role, Soho Dolls, Selfish Cunt and Absentee. And if that wasn't enough, we've got a horde of DJs, including Radioclit, Mark Beaumont (Year Zero) and Pam Hogg.

We co-organised a one day music party in the middle of a huge field next to a stately home. We've put up some images and movies from the event on the Photoblog. VICE’s house band The Black Lips played their first show at The Old Blue Last on Friday and it was great.
Sadly there wasn’t any on-stage piss-drinking and this may have explained drummer Joe Bradley’s slight disappointment with the performance. We bought them a bottle of Jack Daniels and it cheered them up a bit.

To comemorate Damien turning the big 4-0, the various longhairs who make up the Ovrcast Collective are putting on their second annual free metal festival in LA. Tonight's lineup at the Mountain Bar mostly consists of youngsters like Conifer and Lions of Tsavo, but tomorrow's the real bedazzler, with High on Fire, Oxbow, Saviours, Crom, a bunch of other like-minded thrashers, and a secret headliner all tearing it up at the Vanguard. There should be enough beardos packed in to keep the general musk just right and serve as everyone's ambassadors to enjoyment, and did we mention it's free? Oh, actually we did. Right there, like two sentences back. Heh heh, whseeeeeeew! Mondays, am I right?

Boris are playing a free show for us tonight in NYC at the Annex (152 Orchard St.). Unless you've had your mind stuffed with sand for the past two years, you should already be aware that they play some of the heaviest, dirgiest psych-rock to ever come from Japan and that they have one of the only attractive AND good female guitarists to ever come out of anywhere ever. Basically if you can't make it to this, we feel bad for you. Doors open at 9; Boris goes on 'round midnight.
