As "light hearted" as this guy's book might be, it still seems pretty heavy. I've also been through some "very weird, different stuff", but i went through that stuff at the bar last night. God only knows what "very weird, different stuff" these guys we're going through.

This book sounds really interesting. It seems like there hasn't been many accounts of a contemporary war experience, put into these kinds of terms (or maybe there are and I am just ignorant).

what information is on vnaitem era marine corps dog tags?I have my father's dog tags from when he served in the Marines in the Vietnam war era. I believe under his name and initials is his age and then birthday but I am not positive as the day is off by two days from the birthday I thought he had. Now the soldiers ssn is used but as this number is only 7 long it cannot be that. Can anyone tell me what that number is for sure?

What information did mid 60 s Vietnam army dog tags conssit of?I'm interested in purchasing a dog tag containing my legit information on it out of my own interest. In the mid 60 s im pretty sure that dog tags had the noch on them and they had both embossed and debossed writing on them, however I am unaware of what information was on them. Thanks for all your help! : )
