My housemate is a recording artist and she sometimes records in studios that other recording artists have been recording in immediately before her. Just recently she was putting the finishing touches to something or other at a studio where a popular "dance-rock" act had been doing the same thing and she noticed lots of scissors and bandages lying around the place. She asked someone what it was, and apparently the bandages are these new army issue morphine soaked things that get you totally high if you put them on, but then as soon as you take them off you stop being high immediately with no comedown.
This is surely the perfect drug. You could drive to the woods, stick your bandage on and have a lovely dreamy time with your buddies and feel like you're in a big hug etc etc and then take it off, get back in the car, drive back to town and get straight on with the brain surgery/criminal defence/childcare or whatever it is you need to do sober to get paid. I'd be willing to break my four months of sobriety to try this out, if anyone wants to get hold of some for me.

wanna try it now!

more made up shit... when did every issue become "verdad" ?
Posted by: Andy Crapper | 28/11/2008 at 13:48
bullshit. to get you high it has to be in your bloodstream...if you take it off the drugs will still be in your blood. posting this without doing an ounce of research ("a friend of a friend apparently said..") is pretty fucking lazy and irresponsible.

Morphine is notoriously safe and non-comedown. Nigga pleeze

hey me and some friends popped morphine in highschool a few times (read: friends mom was a doctor)- great for melting into chairs to wathch movies, hang out, etc. Buuut,a guy who was going to the same school I went to just died from taking morphine a couple of months ago- taking it with friends as I did! so, ya, I agree fun, but seriously watch it kiddies.

Ridiculous. I love you Vice,but...seriously? Consult a pharmacist before you start make up shit about drugs, because that information really doesn't add up...

Holes in the theory the size of yo' mamas ass.
Did you house mate not notice when the pissed themselves laughing as she left the room? Saying 'i cant believe she fell for it' as she closed the door?
Nice idea though, and i'd be interested to know whether there is some truth behind it somewhere that has been massively warped.like the administer some kind of vaporub by rubbing it on a bandage, knotting it round your arm and letting it waft to your nose.
Infact, vaporub has no comedown. And stops the moment you throw it out the window.

Certain chemicals break down very quickly in the blood stream. Potentially, if the bandage was providing a constant supply of the chemical (which then got you fucked, and proceeded to break down quickly) this could make sense. Potentially. Sounds far too good to be true to be honest.

Morphine comedowns are terrible, the first time I had it, I took 50mg and was in bed for 2 days throwing up with a fever. My pupils stayed tiny as well :D LOLOL. Then the next two times I had it, I wasn't ill for quite as long but was still throwing up for a good few hours after wards :(
