LONDON - LAST WEEK'S PARTIES

Last weekend went on for a long time. Here are some photos from the parties we went to starting with our Issue Launch booze-up on Thursday and ending up with the Japanther/Crass show on Sunday night. See more of what gave us our hangovers below.

It all kicked off on Thursday with our Issue Launch Party for The Talking Issue at The Old Blue Last. We don't even know if that hair is real or not, it's too close to call.		Look at all that joyous "Hey, it's Thursday now and that means it's basically the weekend again!" high-fiving going on. Ignore the guy in the foreground, he'd just realised that he'd followed through out of sheer excitement.
If you thought that was a hot chick in a dress try not to freak out when we tell you that it is actually a guy. The Bo Ningen guys are just a good-looking bunch. They can't help it.		Having Screaming Tea Party and Bo Ningen play the same bill was like having a big reunion evening and made for pretty confusing between set gear swapping.
We're not sure if the bands had organised a trouser-off before the show but there were some seriously fruity lower halves going on. We thought the guy from Screaming Tea Party's purple numbers had clinched it...		..then we saw the guy from Bo Ningen casually wearing these like it weren't no thing. Where do you even get trousers like that? Japan I guess.
Everyone piled out of the Launch Party plied with free shots and staggered down the road to 'The A-Team Presents' at Catch.		Deano spent the whole night covering up a huge zit on his nose.
Lots of girls had tried to copy Ben Rayner's haircut but he was too busy earning millions of pounds being a famous photographer to actually bother turning up to his own night.		There seemed to be a lot of girls with tiny hands there. No one was sure why.
After Rayner's no show James Knight was ably assisted in closing the night by Ted from Team Megamix and one B. Marrin.		Pretty girls touched each other.
It was actually only the second time that Bella had ever DJ'd but she dropped 'Streets Of Fire' and 'Africa' so no one batted an eyelid.		Male Bonding are all members of other really good bands who skive off occasionally to play really taught, spazzy punk songs. Their whole set lasted about 11 minutes.
This must have been one of the only nights that Med has ever actually been to where he wasn't playing on the bill.		Rumours that that's Jiro's plump, Caucasian brother DJ-ing on the right are yet to be confirmed.
Everyone really wanted this guy's cow-hide cap for some reason. Be our guests...		A small bat nested on Liam from Trencher's top lip for the night. It was kind of pissing him off but he let it chill there for everyone else's amusement.
Here's Conan from Graffiti Island getting his groove on. Conan used to be straight edge but like every kid that ever broke edge he can now drink near enough everyone else under the table.		Here is American Pete and Jiro Bevis the illustrator who we seem to mention around here about 67 million times a day. Together they do a great blog called Voodoo Village. You should check it out.
Not everyone at the party was white.		Alexis from The Big Pink was rocking a 'Seventh Seal' look.
Julia gives a thumbs up to her buddy's GG Allin t-shirt.		Now that Little Ted from Team Mega Mix doesn't go out anymore he has commissioned an army of Little Ted lookalikes to go forth and snag 8's in his stead.
Everyone drank through the weekend and ended up at The Old Blue Last to see Penny Rimbaud from Crass do some spoken word and Japanther play a rare London show.		Japanther have had a lot of trouble from distortion pedal thieves in the past so they make sure all their shit is labelled clearly now.
The Sticks are from Brighton. They kindly opened the show up at the last minute for us. Thanks guys!		They played so loud that they terrified Penny's poor flute player.
Lots of sweating went on.		Penny is getting on these days so he has to go from a crib sheet every now an then.
The Japanther dudes don't believe in microphones, they phone all their vocals in.		Penny's like a scarier Iggy who swallows Descatres for breakfast.
Everybody was crowdsurfing by the end, even this guy who'd had a stomach transplant earlier in the evening.		Penny even got up and did a few with Japanther before everyone disappeared off to hide from Monday morning.
