The pig-tattooing artist recently featured made some Viceland readers say we were "glorifying animal cruelty." However, as this clip shows, Wim Delvoye considers himself to be an Oskar Schindler of pigs. His swine are fed beers when they're being needled, and their aftercare sees them rubbed down regularly with factor 30 tanning lotion (so the tats don't spoil in the sun). There's even a guy whose job it is to swat flies off them.
At first glance the pig with the back piece looks exactly like a biker dude taking a piss.

of course, schindler never went ahead and killed the jews he rescured himself, ultimately skinning them and selling them as art. but, whatever. PIG UTOPIA!

I hope one day Vice will glorify animal cruelty on an acceptable level. A pig getting a tattoo is just not good enough.

how is it okay to do this? yeah the pigs are looked after really well, but at the end of the day, they didn't ask to be tattooed, and he doesn't know how much it hurts them. they're only midly sedated so they're not even fully knocked out!
aaaaagh
